Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUE is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual follicular units (1-4 hairs) are extracted directly from the donor area using micro punches (0.7-1.0mm). The follicles are then implanted into recipient sites in balding areas. This method leaves tiny, barely visible scars and allows for faster healing compared to strip harvesting methods.
Per Procedure$12,700
Per Graft$6.4
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)

Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)

FUT involves removing a strip of hair-bearing scalp from the donor area (usually the back of the head), which is then dissected under microscopes into individual follicular units. These units are transplanted into the recipient area. This method typically yields more grafts in a single session but leaves a linear scar.
Per Procedure$10,150
Per Graft$5.1
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)

SMP uses specialized pigments and needles to deposit tiny dots on the scalp that mimic hair follicles. This creates the illusion of a fuller head of hair or a closely shaved head. The procedure requires 2-4 sessions and results can last 3-5 years before requiring touch-ups.
Per Procedure$4,250
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP involves drawing the patient's blood, processing it to concentrate platelets, and injecting the platelet-rich plasma into areas of hair loss. Growth factors in platelets can stimulate dormant follicles, improve hair thickness, and slow hair loss progression. Multiple sessions are typically required.
Per Session$850

A professional environment with real results As someone who works at the Anderson Center for Hair, I always strive to stay as objective as possible when sharing feedback — but I also feel it's important to speak from personal experience. I decided to undergo Exosome therapy for my own hair loss concerns, and the results have truly been encouraging. I noticed a significant reduction in shedding within the first few weeks, and over time, my hair texture improved in a way that made styling easier and more natural. While I always believed in the treatments we offer here, experiencing the results firsthand gave me an entirely new level of appreciation. The care, professionalism, and science-backed treatments at Anderson Center for Hair really do make a difference. Whether you're looking for answers, exploring options, or just beginning your hair restoration journey — you're in excellent hands here.

It has been 16 days since I had my second FUE procedure with Dr. Wetzel. I was very happy with the results of the first procedure but wanted a fuller look. Based on my experience, there was no question that I would return to Anderson Center for Hair for the second FUE. To start with, I have only positive things to say about Dr. Wetzel. He made sure I was involved and that I understood all aspects of the procedure. It very much felt like I was part of the team. Speaking of the team, I want to thank the rest of his group that were working together to make sure that I was comfortable and that the surgery was a success. I never felt pain during the procedure and actually slept on and off while Dr. Wetzel was working. There was some discomfort the first night and I did take the pain medication. But by the second day it was much better and I no longer needed the meds. There was some swelling on day 3 and 4 but that resolved quickly and by the 6th day I felt and looked normal (except for the graft area which I just kept covered by a baseball cap whenever I went out). Having the FUE procedure was a great decision and I have been very pleased with how it changed my appearance. People who don’t know that I did it are frequently noticing that I look much younger and can’t quite figure out what is different. If this is something that you are considering, I suggest you meet with Dr. Wetzel and explore your options with him. I would recommend him and Anderson Center for Hair without hesitation.

I spent years quietly stressing over my thinning hairline. Like many people, I was worried a hair transplant would be painful, obvious, or just not work. After a ton of research (and procrastination), I decided to go with Anderson Center for Hair in Atlanta, and I’m genuinely so glad I did. From the initial consult to the post-op check-ins, every single person I interacted with was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They weren’t salesy or pushy, and I never felt rushed. They actually listened to what I wanted and made sure I had realistic expectations. The procedure itself was way easier than I expected. I was nervous about the pain because let’s be real, "follicle extraction" doesn’t sound fun, but I was totally comfortable the entire time. Dr. Wetzel explained each step and kept me relaxed and laughing (shoutout to the team for the good vibes and lunch). I also opted for PRP and exosomes during my procedure, and I’m already noticing faster healing and early growth signs. No regrets on that upgrade. Post-op, I followed their aftercare plan closely, and my grafts anchored well. I had very little shedding in the early days and minimal discomfort. The hairline looks incredibly natural, even this early on. No "plug" look. Just subtle density that blends perfectly. I know hair transplants can feel like a huge leap (and a big investment), but the results speak for themselves. If you're on the fence, trust that you're in excellent hands here. The facility is modern, the staff is amazing, and they actually care about your long-term outcome, not just the procedure day. This was one of the best self-investments I’ve ever made. If you’re thinking about it, do it right and do it with Dr.Wetzel at Anderson.

Hi Michael, Thank you for your thoughtful and honest review. I know how big of a decision it can be to pursue a hair transplant, and I’m so glad you felt confident choosing Anderson Center for Hair here in Atlanta. It means a great deal to me personally that Dr. Wetzel and the team made your experience comfortable, transparent, and even enjoyable. I’m also glad you chose to include both PRP and exosomes during your procedure. These regenerative therapies can absolutely support faster healing and early growth. To continue optimizing your outcome, we’ll be seeing you back for PRP treatments at 2, 4, and 6 months post-op, which will help strengthen the follicles and support lasting results. Thank you again for your trust and for sharing your story. It’s truly an honor to be part of this journey with you, and I can’t wait to see how everything continues to take shape. The.Best.Experience. I had my first FUT performed by Dr. Anderson at the Alpharetta location in 2019 due to moderate/severe hair loss on the top of my head. At the time, my crown didn’t need to be addressed. I most recently had two more procedures (FUT and FUE in June 2025) done by Dr. Anderson to address the top again (the only hairs that were standing were the ones he transplanted originally – otherwise, I would’ve been bald on top) and the crown. My alopecia gene is strong even though I did regular maintenance (minoxidil, laser cap, PRP). The FUT was performed on a Thursday and the FUE was the next day (Friday). I was a little concerned about the trauma done to my head on back to back days, but he and is office answered any questions I had. My crown area and the top were both addressed on these days. I am currently 8 days post op with no pain whatsoever from the incision, donor sites from FUE, or from the graft placement. Dr. Anderson provides a protocol explaining everything in simple language on how to care for the grafts post-surgery. My incision is one of the best looking surgical incisions I have laid eyes on – I am in the healthcare field, and I see a lot myself…it is barely noticeable even after my entire head was shaved very short to allow for a more successful surgery. The staff in the office are very accommodating as well. Lunch was provided both days from Jersey Mikes. His office (including himself) has called me a total of 4x to check on me since I had the surgeries. I could not recommend Dr. Anderson and his team enough. Anybody that knows me knows that I research everything, and I only choose the best. I spent hours researching surgeons in 2019 before I landed on Dr. Anderson – it doesn’t get any better than this triple board certified, artistic, compassionate, and highly skilled surgeon! I’d recommend him a million times over, and I gladly drove 4+ hours both times to ensure I got the best care available.

Hi Wes! Thank you so much for sharing this incredible and detailed review—it truly means a great deal to me and the entire team. It’s been a privilege to be part of your journey from 2019 through your most recent FUT and FUE procedures this year, and I’m especially honored by the trust you’ve continued to place in us. The fact that you’ve returned for multiple treatments—and driven over four hours to do so—speaks volumes, and we don’t take that loyalty lightly. I’m very pleased to hear your recovery has been so smooth and that you’re already seeing the level of care reflected not only in your results, but in the way our team supported you throughout. Your comment about the incision means a lot, especially coming from someone in the healthcare field, and it’s gratifying to know our attention to detail made such an impression. As you continue healing, I recommend you consider PRP treatments at 2, 4, and 6 months to support the newly transplanted follicles and optimize your outcome. While you’ve been diligent with ongoing maintenance therapies already, those PRP sessions can further strengthen the foundation we’ve built. Thank you again for your kind words, thoughtful reflection, and enthusiastic recommendation. We’re honored to have earned your confidence and look forward to seeing your continued results take shape. I had a great experience with Dr. Wetzel and his team. The surgery procedure was fully explained to me during my initial consultation with Matt and Dr. Wetzel. Dr. Wetzel explained all and said I was a great candidate for the surgery. The surgery itself was scheduled for 3 weeks later. I arrived at 7 AM as instructed, and we got started at 8 AM. Dr. Wetzel explained what to expect for the day. All was explained in detail. We talked about what he was going to do and also the hairline, which was very important to me. He listened to what I wanted to make sure to design the transplant for that result, a natural-looking remedy to my thinning hair. The procedure took about a total of 8 hours. During the surgery, I was not in any pain at all, and did not experience much pain the following day. His nurses took really good care of me, and I watched TV the entire time while under a mild sedation. After the surgery, I went home and relaxed and began to recover. The downtime was nice, and the recovery was not that bad. It took about 2 weeks till I got back to 100%. After two weeks, I went back into his office to have my stitches removed and for a check-up up where he said I was progressing nicely. I am excited about the results. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wetzel and Anderson Hair for this surgery. His advice and guidance during the process were very helpful. I feel like he has given me back my hair from when I was younger, and I am excited to see the continued results.

Hi Sonny, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. It’s incredibly rewarding to hear that your surgery with Dr. Wetzel and our team was smooth, comfortable, and met your expectations every step of the way. We place a strong emphasis on communication and patient education, so I’m glad you felt informed and supported from your initial consultation through the recovery process. It’s especially great to hear that your concerns about a natural hairline were heard and incorporated into your personalized treatment plan—that kind of detail makes all the difference in delivering a result that truly feels like you. As your new hair continues to grow in, I encourage you to support and maximize your outcome with PRP treatments at 2, 4, and 6 months post-op. This, along with consistent hair care, will help strengthen both transplanted and native follicles for the best long-term result. We're thrilled to be part of your hair restoration journey and can’t wait to see how things continue to progress in the months ahead. I had my second procedure at Anderson Center for hair Alpharetta, GA in March 2025. First procedure was at the same location in 2020. The reason I wanted a second was to get thicker hair as the first procedure was a success and that hair is still holding strong. The staff is always amazing and helps limiting the anxiousness of having the procedure performed. The 2nd procedure was just a smooth as the first. With both procedures I went with the FUE procedure and the procedure seemed quick and painless. They are very clear what to expect during the consultation as well as once you arrive the day of prior and throughout the procedure. Recovery was smooth as long as you follow the step by step instructions that are provided by the Anderson Center for Hair team on the day of the procedure. Throughout recovery for the first 10 days, they check in often during and are always available if you have any questions. I couldn’t recommend them enough for a procedure, as the results always look great. Most people don’t know I had a procedure unless I tell them, given the look/result is very natural looking. I hope this review helps with reducing anyone’s anxiety about having this done. I highly recommend anyone interested to set up a consultation with the Anderson Hair Center team to get further details. They will treat you great and you will have a great result if you decide to go through with it.

Hi Keith, Thank you for coming back to share your experience following your second FUE procedure with us—we truly appreciate your continued trust and loyalty. It's incredibly rewarding to hear that your first procedure has continued to hold strong after five years, and that the second experience was just as smooth. We’re glad our team was able to ease your nerves and provide clear guidance every step of the way. Setting proper expectations and offering personalized support—both before and after the procedure—is something we take very seriously, so it’s wonderful to hear that those efforts made a difference for you. As your hair continues to grow in, we’d also encourage you to consider platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments at 2, 4, and 6 months post-op. PRP is an excellent option for supporting transplanted and native follicles during the early growth phase, and can help maximize long-term density. Thank you again for your recommendation and thoughtful words. It’s always an honor to help patients achieve a natural, confident result—especially when it brings them back for another round. We look forward to seeing your final results develop over the coming months. I had an FUE hair transplant procedure with Dr. Wetzel in May of 2025 and couldn’t be happier with the progress so far! Dr. Wetzel is extremely patient and honest about the expectations for all stages of the procedure and recovery process and does a great job setting his patients up for success. The procedure itself wasn’t bad at all! I had braced myself for discomfort during the initial scalp numbing process, but between the medications I was given to help me relax and this fancy vibrating device that was used on the scalp at each location during each injection, I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever! The entire team present at the facility were extremely kind and reassuring from when I first arrived to when they helped me get in my Uber after the procedure. The recovery wasn’t as bad as I had braced myself for it to be either! The first 5 days were the worst, I had some significant swelling around my eyes and forehead, but Dr. Wetzel had prepared me to expect this and assured me it was temporary and should subside around day 5 (which it did!). The hardest thing about the recovery is sleeping on your back for those first 5 days. My advice is to use the sleeping pills provided! I avoided them for the first 3 days as I don't like taking any more medication than I absolutely have to, but they made a major difference when I finally started using them! I’m approximately 1 month out from my procedure and most of the scabs have fallen off and I can see a rough idea of what my new hairline will look like and I can’t thank Dr. Wetzel and his team enough! 10/10 would recommend if you’re Looking for a better hairline!

Hi Luke, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. I’m thrilled to hear that your experience with Dr. Wetzel and our team was such a positive one—from your initial consultation through the procedure and into recovery. It’s especially great to know that our comfort-focused techniques, like the use of vibration-assisted numbing and oral relaxation medication, helped make the procedure as painless as possible. We know how important it is to minimize anxiety and discomfort, and it’s clear you were well-prepared and supported every step of the way. Swelling and sleep position are some of the more challenging parts of recovery, so I’m glad to hear the guidance we provided helped you navigate that period with confidence. And I completely agree—those sleep aids can make a big difference during those first few nights! As you continue to heal and enter the growth phase, I’d recommend considering PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatments at 2, 4, and 6 months. These sessions can help maximize graft survival, stimulate stronger regrowth, and support your native hair. We’re honored to be part of your hair restoration journey and look forward to seeing your full results develop in the months ahead.
