I went to Liz and got a frontal sew-in weave. She braided my hair to perfection. My sew-in was so flat and made my hair look so natural. She educated me on my hair and scalp and introduced me to some or her amazing hair growth oils. It felt good to go to a stylist and get educated about your hair. Thanks again Liz for this flawless doo.

I’m truly disappointed with the service I received from Elizabeth, and I feel like I need to speak up so others don’t go through what I did. I booked a closure sew-in with her for Friday through StyleSeat, but she canceled the same day, saying she had a stomach virus. She offered to do my hair the next day at a discounted rate, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and agreed. On a past Saturday, I arrived at 8:30 a.m. and didn’t leave until after 1 p.m. — for a basic closure sew-in. The end result was horrible. The install was lumpy, uneven, and she completely ruined my closure. I told her I didn’t want baby hairs, but she kept plucking and cutting, saying I “needed” them. She glued it down, overworked the hairline, and left it looking a mess. My scalp was sore from how rough and tight she was with both the application and removal of the closure multiple times. I’ve had sew-ins before and they’ve never looked this bad. I even expressed my concerns during the appointment, but it felt like she didn’t care. She was too busy trying to sell me oils and creams I didn’t ask for instead of focusing on doing my hair right. Afterward, I told her how unhappy I was, and she said she could fix it but never followed through. I gave her time and space to make things right. I expected better. At the very least, I deserve a refund and a replacement closure for what she damaged. She claimed that refunding my money would mean that she is out of money for the service she offered since she gave me a discount because my sew-in was messed up. (pictures below) I actually was never able to wear the style out. I was a first-time customer, and this was hands down the WORST SALON experience I’ve ever had. I will absolutely be telling others about this experience to save them the same frustration. Please — if you’re planning to get a closure or frontal from Elizabeth, don’t. You deserve better. She probably can do other styles well but not this one.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I want to take a moment to clarify the full story, as it’s important to me that all clients—and potential clients—have an accurate picture of what truly occurred. Yes, I did have to reschedule your original appointment because I wasn’t feeling well. Out of respect for both your experience and my work, I don’t provide services when I’m not at my best. I clearly communicated this and even offered to see you the very next day, with a discount for the inconvenience. When you arrived, I noticed you had a significant amount of hair, which I braided down carefully and professionally. I also shared my honest concerns about the closure you brought, which was of lower quality. I still put in extra effort to make it look the best it could, despite the limitations of the product. You mentioned purchasing the hair from Amazon, and I even offered to replace it for you at no extra cost to ensure you didn't waste your investment. You were charged only $60 for the time and care put into the service. I take pride in being fair and transparent with my clients. Afterward, you contacted me expressing dissatisfaction, and I respectfully offered a full refund if you came by the salon on Friday. This was the day after my son’s memorial—an incredibly difficult time for me—but I still honored my commitment to customer care. Unfortunately, you never followed up or returned. It’s disheartening to see a review posted over a month later without contacting me directly to resolve the issue. Throughout your appointment, you mentioned having poor experiences with multiple stylists, which I now see may have been a red flag. I listened, remained professional, and treated you with care—as I do for every client. Yes, I offered you my signature oils to help improve your hair’s condition, which is a part of my hair consultation process. This isn’t just about selling products; it’s about education and long-term care for your hair and scalp. That’s a standard part of the holistic approach I provide. I don’t bash other stylists, nor do I speak negatively about clients. I’m truly sorry you were dissatisfied, but it’s never been my character to offer anything less than a respectful and quality experience. My track record, consistent client feedback, and professional ethics speak for themselves. I sincerely wish you healing and better experiences moving forward. If ever you’d like to resolve this in good faith, my door remains open.
