In general, whenever I’m facing any kind of health issue, I always start with the natural route — holistic, plant-based, functional. If I’ve genuinely tried everything on that side and feel like I’ve hit a wall, then I’ll look into allopathic medicine. When it comes to hair loss or thinning, most doctors will immediately push pharmaceutical options — DHT blockers like finasteride or dutasteride, minoxidil (topical or oral), red light therapy, and even hair transplants. But before going down that road, I highly recommend starting with someone like Mark — or anyone who works with the body naturally. When I saw him, he told me it didn’t seem like androgenic alopecia (DHT-related), but rather inflammation. That made a lot of sense to me. His treatment is simple: after a consultation, each month, he gives me a cleanser and a topical formula — both are plant-based and all-natural. I wanted to share my experience with Dr. Marco and Maria. I found HAIRWISE via Google after trying several treatments. I've been struggling with my condition (androgenic alopecia) for years. First, I tried vitamins, minoxidil, nioxin, which has been my shampoo and conditioner for a long time, PRP, and finally, I had 3 appointments with different doctors to finally get the implant, all of whom told me I wasn't a candidate. That was the hardest moment because I decided to get the procedure I'd been thinking about for so long, and when I got those answers, it was devastating for me. After that, I found HAIRWISE by searching on Google to find out what else I could do. I made my first appointment with Dr. Marco, who has been a pharmacist for over 20 years. The initial consultation lasted over an hour, where he examines you, explains, and recommends the products and even the nutrition you should follow to achieve positive results. You can see how he examines you with a microscope, and you can clearly see what you're suffering from. The treatment lasts 5 months, with follow-up every 5 weeks where you can see the before and after results of your progress. The treatment is expensive, but it's worth the time and the opportunity to truly see the results, especially when you're spending a lot of money trying and failing. I came across hairwise via google about 2 months ago after struggling with significant hair loss and thinning for greater than a year. During this time I spent a lot of time and money on treatments and specialist. With my dermatologist we concluded this was an Androgenetic alopecia after a biopsy, for which she then told me it is progressive and does not have a cure (i was devastated). After seeing several specialist, these are the recommended treatments and ones i personally tried: Spironolocatone, "compounded daily vitamins", Minoxidil daily, Shampoo and conditioner called Nioxin, and even injecting platelet rich plasma into my scalp (This is incredibly painful by the way if you are thinking of undergoing PRP). After all of this and several months of trying different treatments I was not seeing a difference in my hair. I Came to Hairwise sad and defeated but with hope that they could help me somehow. Marco is a pharmacist and has 20+ years of experience in his craft- after taking pictures, looking at my scalp microscopically, and an hour long initial consultation we concluded that there was an underlying inflammation which was the main culprit of my symptoms. Marco's initial evaluation was an hour long- he will then specifically tailor hair products/ treatments which you will use 3 times a week (not painful and plan is very easy to follow) with natural ingredients that target the reason for this hair loss, in my case inflammation. I have been using his products for only 5 weeks and let me tell you the difference is unbelievable! i will place a before and after picture attached with this review. I am so incredibly thankful to Marco and his wife Maria, they are committed to their clients with wonderful customer service and incredibly genuine. Treatment plan for me at the moment is for 5 months, with follow ups every 5 weeks and new products every 5-6 weeks which Marco will continue to make for me. Treatment may be costly- but for the time it takes, several consultations, and specifically tailored hair products for his clients- I think it is 100% worth it. Specially after spending so much money on failed treatments and Marco being the only one guaranteeing i will have my hair back (he brought me so much hope). If you are thinking about it twice, dont! Make that initial consultation, Marco treats different types of alopecia- and if he truly believes he cannot treat your case he will let you know. You wont be disappointed, his results speak for themselves. I will continue posting a on this review with my before and after pictures so you can all see the progress with me. ****UPDATE (second picture 11/18/24) **** 3 months and 2 weeks into my treatment with Maria and Marco. The changes are insane, my hair is growing back and i am forever grateful to Maria and Marco. I am using Marcos formulas religiously and these are my results 🥲! ****UPDATE (third picture 03/12/2025)**** about 7 months after starting my treatment. We have completed the treatment. I am very satisfied with my results, i have my hair back! Thank you To Marco and Maria once again, this would not have been possible without your treatments and expertise.
