I've been wanting my hair cut for a while now, I was so glad I was able to find Kim...she use to do my hair many years ago , it was like old times. She's very good at what she does and pays close attention to detail, I just love my new cut and I highly recommend!

I had my hair done by Kimberly.I had scheduled an appointment on styleseat. The service started out great. I told her I was tender headed and needed to add on a deep condition to the service I wanted. She agreed. The shampoo and deep condition went great! But then came the blowout and it all went downhill from there. She started to blow dry my hair and it was like she and my hair were fighting. Pulling at it so much that I ended up losing a huge ball of hair. I kept grimacing and at some point told her to hold off by trying to detangle somewhat myself. But she asked me to hold on while she finished. At this point, I’m upset, because I’m sitting here in pain and losing hair and wondering how we got here. I had had enough and told her, I didn’t want a trim anymore which was a part of the service I had paid for and that I think she should stop there. She then proceeds to say “I 120% agree.” Those were here words! Not once was I rude to her. There was no reason why she couldn’t have worked in smaller sections especially when you’re dealing with natural hair. If I wanted to go bald, I would have let you know, ma’am. I left the salon with a huge mess on my head, my hair all tangled up, not fully blown out and still damp in some places. Which is infuriating because I came to the salon so I wouldn’t have to go do my hair myself!!! After paying for a service, there is literally no reason why I have to go home to complete it or to redo it. And then there were times she would leave my hair unattended and walk away to do something on her phone, I’m not even upset at that, stuff happens and she could have been dealing with stuff. It’s the unprofessional conduct and the nonchalance with which she did my hair that’s infuriating. I would not recommend her to any natural haired woman unless you don’t mind losing chunks of hair and being subjected to pain. Other than the terrible experience during the blowout session, I had a good wash session. Just don’t get a blow dry there

***Buyer Beware of Booking Brianna***Worst service I have ever received with a stylist. Very unprofessional. Will post text messages received from Brianna later. Scheduled appointment three weeks ago. Looked forward to her actually being my stylist for my wedding as well. Went a week before for a "consultation" for microlinks. To my understanding a "consultation" is when you communicate all the key details of the upcoming appointment with the client. I thought I received all the information I needed but clearly communication is not apparent with this stylist. She assumes you are supposed to remember a paragraph written on style seat three weeks prior. I received a reminder notification by email on Jan 28th for my Jan 30th appointment. The email stated that the cost would be paid by the phone from the site. This email is an email customized by the stylist Brianna that sends out to the clients in preparation for the appt. Following the email I did not get cash. I get a text at 9:06 am telling me to bring cash. I was currently in route for my 9:30 am appt. I simply texted her that there was a miscommunication and I was not aware that I needed to bring cash due to the email received from her and style seat. She proceeds to screenshot me a text telling me I need to read it. Clearly I am in the process of driving and could not read something while I was driving. I informed her I have no problem getting cash but I would be little late because I now have to stop at a bank. She then tells me to add $15 for being late. Later found out once I was able to stop and read the screenshots that you would have to be 20 minutes late for the late fee. I told her I was in route and would be a little late, 5 minutes but she persisted to tell me I would have to pay. I just felt in this situation when dealing with a new client who is not from the area a little empathy would have been nice. This stylist clearly lacks empathy, communication, and any sense of having a heart. Once I got to the shop she proceeds to tell me that she doesn't feel comfortable with doing my hair and I can reschedule. Could this not be have been something she just told me or texted me over the phone? Why wait till I drive to your shop to tell me that in person. Never will I ever set foot in this business. Please beware of this before booking. This could have been handled so differently from the beginning by just addressing the miscommunication on her part from her own business. If you want clients to be aware of your cash policy it should also be listed on the reminder email that you send out about how payments would be processed.

FRAUDULENT BUSINESS. SCAM. Brianna Hill at Kalon Studios fraudulently charged me for a service I never received. I was charged on 09/22/2020 for a service that I did not schedule and a service that I was subsequently charged for. This is one of the definitions of fraud/scam. I only received a service from Kimberly at Kalon Studios on 09/19/2020. I did not receive any other services after that NOR did I book any services after that through StyleSeat. I already filed a complaint against the business who is opening an investigation. Also, Kimberly was not professional during my first appointment. She was more than 30 minutes late to my appointment on 09/19/2020 and she did not apologize until she came to retrieve me from her waiting room to get my hair done. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL.
