I lost 9000$ in this salon. They advertise and promise things they can’t do, take money upfront and then don’t take responsibility for the work they’ve done. I came to Shevy’s in December 2024 for a consultation, picked a wig priced 9000$, gave them a sample of my hair and discussed my preferences - it was supposed to look like my hair, which is natural blonde. I was told the process will take a couple of weeks and then they will call me to make sure everything looks good and if not then I can send it for alterations free of charge. Unfortunately this was a beginning of a 4 months long story of sending the wig back and forth. I kept getting a wig that was toned wrong, had harsh dark roots (and I specifically asked for no roots), uneven color, and weird greenish stripes. It was 4 exchanges and each time I cried because I felt so stupid for trusting them and paying before seeing the final product. Shevy refused to give me a refund, even for a part of the initial price and promised to make it perfect. Through the process they ignored my requests and kept gaslighting me that it’s a „gorgeous blonde” - clearly not their area of expertise, or they are delusional about it looking good. I got other opinions from 2 different colorists and unfortunately they messed with it so much that it’s basically unrepairable, the roots and color all over can never be nicely blended. My wig is unusable, do not trust this business.

You approved the direction — including keeping some lowlights and subtle rooting for a natural look. We also explained that with custom pieces, especially for first-time wig wearers, it may take a few rounds of adjustments to get things just right — and that once customization begins, the wig is non-refundable. Still, we remained fully committed, sharing videos and photos for your approval before shipping, and made every revision you requested after delivery, free of charge. Although we’re disappointed to hear you're still not 100% happy, we remain committed to your satisfaction. I just purchased a wig from shevy a few weeks ago. Although there is no doubt about the good quality of the wigs but the service there isn't that great. I paid 3,500 $ for a short wig and I feel very disappointed from the people there. It doesn't look like so expensive wig I got it pre cut wasn't thinking too much (maybe from me not being patient enough) A few days later I wanted to return it because I didn't use it and they refuse to take it back. Although they didn't cut it according to my face it was already cut. Just think twice before going to their main office in Flatbush.
