I brought in a light blonde wig & asked to turn my virgin dark blonde hair the exact same color, minus the rooting. Mackenzie — who was very sweet during my appointment — told me that this would be possible to achieve in one session. I remember expressing surprise and asking her if she was sure, because I had always heard that it was hard to get to such a light color, but she assured me it would only take one session. To the left of the blonde wig is my real hair, AFTER being dyed and it’s pretty clear it doesn’t resemble what I asked for. Not only is it still several shades darker (practically still the same exact shade as my natural hair), she added these stark highlights that I didn’t ask for and aren’t present on the wig. To make matters worse, my hair feels terrible after I wash it; I’m not sure how my hair got so damaged in just one session when it wasn’t even that dark to begin with and had never been chemically processed before. The owner then told me (through a third party) that it would take several sessions to get my hair as light as the wig, that I’d have to pay for these additional sessions, and that this was communicated to me during my consultation. I really hate to put anyone on blast, especially as Mackenzie was very nice to me, but that is just not what she told me during the consultation. They did offer to add more highlights and tone it for free, but that it still would not be the color I had asked for. I don’t understand the point of adding more highlights (and further damaging my hair), to still not have it look the way I had asked for. Had I known beforehand that it would take several sessions and cost significantly more than what I had been quoted, I would not have gone through with it. I asked for a refund instead and they said no, so unfortunately I’m pursuing a charge back on my card instead. I would be very wary of having your hair done here, as they couldn’t give me what I asked for, even with a 3D replica at their disposal, and then refused to make things right when they messed up. I’m not even mad, just disappointed.

Hands down, Tousle by Dupre’s is the best salon in town! Meghan Freeman knows her stuff! I showed up at my appointment 15 minutes early and Meghan took me right back. My topper had seen better days, but Meghan brought it back to life. Wash, conditioner, mask, and a little TLC and it was back to beautiful. Not only did Meghan take care of my topper but she educated me along the way. Love this place and love Meghan too!
