I can’t say enough great things about Troy Michaels Salon—especially Tami! From the moment you sit in her chair, you know you’re in expert hands. Tami’s knowledge of hair and scalp health is on another level. She doesn’t just style your hair—she educates you about it. Her insight into how to care for both has made a noticeable difference in the health and feel of my hair. What really blew me away is how up-to-date she is with all the latest techniques in hair extensions. Whether you’re looking for volume, length, or a full transformation, Tami is a true artist. The extensions she recommended blended seamlessly and looked incredibly natural—by far the best I’ve ever had. And here’s the game-changer: she suggested using a simple squirt bottle to wash my hair—and wow, it’s life changing! Such a small tip, but it’s made shampooing so much easier and more effective. I’ve never had my scalp feel so clean without over-drying my hair. Tami is warm, professional, and clearly passionate about what she does. Every visit is not just a beauty appointment, it’s an education in how to truly take care of your hair. Highly, highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience! I am a wearer of wigs due to Alopecia and I needed a wig cut as it was much longer then anticipated and just wasn’t working for me. I began a hunt to find someone willing to cut and style a synthetic wig. I contacted several salons and left several messages when Tamy responded, She made an appointment for me very quickly. Upon entering her salon I was greeted, given a tour and introduced to the amazing services there that include facials, scalp, hair loss procedures, wigs, toppers, etc and styling all very discreet for the client’s comfort. I found Tamy to be friendly, informative and caring of her clients. She did an amazing wonderful job and I am so happy I found her! She not only cut the wig to my liking but shared tips with me about making it more like my natural hair and not wiggy! I definitely will be returning!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Tamy at Troy Michael Trichology! I recently went in for a hair harvest for my future wig and a short cut, and I am beyond thrilled with the results. Tamy is truly a master of their craft! It took me months to find someone that was willing to harvest my hair closer than a bob cut. I will overcome the challenge of finding a local wig maker to work with in a few years. But until then Tamy will be my go to. From start to finish, the experience was incredible. Tamy took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and provided expert advice that made me feel confident in my choice. The cut is flawless, and the style suits me perfectly—it feels like a reflection of my best self! Every time I catch my reflection in the mirror, I can’t help but smile. I’ve never felt so confident and put-together. They have so many other services available. I’ll definitely be back!
Shannon, Thank you so much for telling everyone about your experience with us! Thank you, also, for trusting me with your life changing transformation and future self . Brilliant thinking ahead! We look forward to your next visit!

This is an update to my awful experience at the salon. In my initial review, the stylist last name was incorrect. Her first name is Addison. Since I already posted a review, this is a follow up. To summarize what happened, I spent $2500 for color and extensions. Here is a refined and organized version of your review: This is a follow-up to my initial review regarding my experience at Philip Michael Trichology, specifically with the stylist Addison, who performed hair color and extension services for me totaling approximately $2,500. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected for such a premium service. 1. Lack of Alignment with My Requests Prior to my appointment, I sent Addison inspiration pictures and clearly communicated my preferences. I emphasized that I did not want an overly ashy tone and that I wanted my extensions to blend seamlessly with my natural hair. I also requested a lot of volume and suggested three rows of extensions, potentially with i-tips on the sides. Despite these instructions: • The extensions installed did not blend well and were done using an outdated method. • I specifically asked not to use machine wefts because of the “beard” on the back of the weft, which often causes itching. Addison cut the beard off the weft, which I believe thinned the extensions and potentially caused damage. • The color turned out overly ashy—completely opposite of what I requested and nothing like the pictures I provided. 2. Poor Hair Quality and Lack of Support The hair I purchased cost nearly $1,000 and came from Hair Talk. After washing and blow-drying it one time, the hair tangled into a matted mess at the back. I’ve been getting extensions for eight years, and this is only the second time I’ve had such an issue. In the past, when there was a problem with the hair, my stylist made it right by contacting the company and securing a replacement. Addison, however, did nothing to address this issue. For a service at this price point, I expect a higher standard of professionalism and customer care. 3. Unresolved Issue with My i-Tips I left my i-tips at the salon, and despite repeated attempts to contact the staff, no one has returned my calls or assisted me in retrieving them. These extensions are mine, as I paid for them, and it is unacceptable for the salon to withhold them. The lack of communication is unprofessional, and I question whether this constitutes theft. At the very least, someone should contact me to arrange a time for me to pick them up. 4. Ownership and Accountability I have attempted to identify the owner of the salon, assuming it might be someone named Philip Michael or a similar variation, but I have been unable to confirm this. I even reached out to the Better Business Bureau but have not been able to obtain this information. My next step is to contact the cosmetology board to report this incident. Final Thoughts This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve had in eight years of getting extensions. For a premium service, I expect far better treatment. Addison clearly needs additional training before working on clients, and the salon must address their lack of communication and professionalism. At the very least, the salon needs to return my i-tips. Until this matter is resolved, I cannot recommend this establishment.

If you’re going back and forth about coming here, this is your sign to come! Meeting with Tamy, is as though she has known you for many years. Hair holds on to so many memories and stressors. Having someone who listens to your story and personalizes your care is important. This is a safe space for all. Not only for hair and scalp care but for your skin. Today marked a day where I met with Tamy and felt seen for the first time. She addressed my needs and wants to scalp care. No pressure is felt because she made me feel like I was priority. Can’t wait until my facial with these wonderful people. Thank you again for seeing me.
Thank you Stephenie, what a pleasant surprise today! We love it when someone can come in and feel like they have found a safe space and a new home with support in self care. We are honored to have your trust in the health and growth journey to come. Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind words and we will see you soon!
