Joseph L. Williams, MD received his medical doctorate in 1976. A native of North Carolina, he attended undergraduate school at East Carolina University and medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Williams is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and a member of the European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, a member of American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. Since 2001, Dr. Williams has developed close ties with pioneers in the fields of dermatology, cosmetic surgery and hair restoration. As a result of these relationships, he has brought together a team with extensive experience in all aspects of advanced hair restoration. Dr. Williams has perfected many advanced techniques and technologies including platelet rich plasma (PRP), A-Cell micromatrix and low level laser therapy (LLLT) in his practice at Advanced Medical Hair Institute in Las Vegas, NV. and Santa Barbara (Montecito), CA.. Dr. Williams became board certified in Adult and Pediatric Urology in 1984 and retired after 25 years in this specialty. He now devotes his full time to his practice in hair restoration.
