Vincenzo Gambino

In 1990, Dr. Vincenzo Gambino began specializing in hair transplantation with the Elliott-Thomas Medical Group in New York City. A member of multiple internationally accredited medical organizations, Dr. Gambino is Immediate Past President of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS). He is a past president and on the governing board of the Italian Society for Hair Restoration (ISHR) and is currently serving a three year term as president of the Italian Society of Trichology ( S.I.Tri.). He was the first doctor in Italy to perform head-to-pubic-area transplantation, and he most recently pioneered chest-to-head-hair transplantation in Italy. He is also the first in Italy to use Low Level Laser Therapy in the treatment of hair loss.

Dr. Gambino wrote the hair transplantation section of the surgical text book, Medicina e Chirurgia Estetica del Viso e del Collo (Esthetic Medicine and Surgery of the Face and Neck), and the pubic hair transplantation section of the surgical text book Medicina e Chirurgia Estetica del Corpo both produced by S.I.E.S. (Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery) and published by Elsevier Masson. Italian television and radio has recognized Dr. Gambino in broadcasts by RAI TV: Medicina33, TG2-Salute; CANALE5: Vivere Bene; and Rete 4. Newspapers and magazines featuring Dr. Gambino as an expert in the field of hair restoration include Corriere della Sera: Io Donne, Il Giornale, Il Giorno, Repubblica, Oggi, Class, Capital, G.Q., Panorama, Silhouette Donna, and OK Salute. He is listed in Class magazine's supplement book of Italy's Best Doctors. Dr. Gambino is a regular attendee and speaks at worldwide symposiums on the art of hair restoration.
