Dr. Mohebi and his staff are highly committed to using the most advanced techniques and devices in the field of hair restoration. He is also actively involved in training the next generation of hair restoration specialists through his work as a Fellowship Training Program Director with the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).

Education

Dr. Mohebi performed his surgical internship at the University of North Dakota and followed that with a surgical residency at University of New Mexico and York Hospital in Pennsylvania. He then continued his aspirations in surgical research by joining the Department of Surgical Sciences at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. While at John Hopkins, he performed several studies on growth factors, hair growth and wound healing. Dr. Mohebi completed a fellowship in surgical hair restoration at New Hair Institute under Dr. William Rassman. Dr. Parsa Mohebi is a diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) and he was granted a Fellow status with the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). Dr. Mohebi has developed and collaborated on many innovations and inventions that have led to improvements in the field of hair restoration. He invented the Laxometer which is the first device that allows surgeons to measure the laxity of scalp in a precise manner before scalp procedures. Dr. Mohebi introduced the idea of sequential donor harvesting which served to cut down on the total time that grafts stay out of body and improves the final results of hair restoration procedures. Mohebi Implanter (Inserter) was one of the other inventions of Dr. Mohebi. This device helps reduce the trauma to the follicular unit grafts and imporves the final result of the hiar restoration procedures. Dr. Parsa Mohebi was the first Chairman of the FUE Research Committee (FRC) of ISHRS. This committee was established in 2012 with the express goals of increasing the understanding of FUE as well as advancing the tools and devices involved in hair FUE procedures to improve the quality of FUE transplant procedures.
