I truly appreciate the cleanliness along with the sterile environment of this establishment. From walking into the front door into the labs, I was impressed. Prior to my initial visit,I had went to an establishment for waxing and brow sculpture and tinting services. The outcome was something I could have done and have done for myself and to pay for the service. My next visit was to Awaken ~ LOVE everything about my entire experience. I then went to another spa for full wax, brow sculpture and tint ~ WHY ?? First of all, they had a sheet from they grandma's house, I didn't smell the clinical scent that reminded me of a sterile environment like Awaken. The technician was a lovely lady who did nice work. However, when I asked for something to remove the excessive wax remover from my face, their was no such supplies. What the technician brought me back in was a dingy white stained hand towel. My first thought was WTH am I being handed this unsanitary cloth? I said, oh no, I can't use this. Oh she replied, it's clean, it just is stained. Oh HELL No I thought. I asked do you happen to have something that is more sanitary for my face? I was handed to cotton balls. I used them until I got home then washed my face. $80 I paid. Not to mention, as I was exiting the room, another technician was in need of the room. She had her customer lay on the same sheet that I had just gotten up from. The sheet was never changed for the next customer, nor was the room sprayed down. I was like OMG, how many others laid in this sheet? I telephoned the spa to express my concerns. What I received was crickets and the reply "What do you want"? I was like, maybe be more sterile and have the proper supplies and change the sheet before each customer. Moving forward, if you are in need of facials, waxing anything spa like and your in Anderson, Indiana. Skip all the other places and go to Awaken. Trust me, I will Never go to another spa while in Anderson, Indiana.

Annabelle and the entire Awaken Spa team went above and beyond! I suffer from a lysosomal storage disorder and floatation therapy helps manage my pain and anxiety. I had been floating elsewhere for about 4 years however due travel/availability, I could only float 4-5 times a year. I tried the float tank at Awaken Spa, but noticed something wasn't quite right - the temperature of the water & the room it was located were too hot and there was a light in the tank that would not shut off - these issues were preventing me from complete sensory deprivation which wasn't helping at all. I suggested that they send out a anonymous survey to other floaters (which they did) and the Awaken Team made some adjustments from the feedback. It is now PERFECT and I have been floating weekly - I can tell a huge difference in the way I feel. I am a huge advocate of floatation therapy! If you suffer from pain or anxiety - give it a try! Each session gets better and better.

I recently had lip filler by Joann and she used a cannula. Joann pays attention to detail and wants nothing more than to give her clients exactly what they want. The cannula was less painful than making several injections to the lips. And I am so happy with the way my lips look! Would have Joann work on me for anything!
