Shaphali is an amazing stylist and person. She really understands the look I am going for and goes the extra mile to make it look perfect! I have gone to her a few times, most recently brought my daughter and she offered to wash and dry her hair at no charge. She and her staff are lovely and use all natural Aveda products.

They fried my hair. It has not been the same, even weeks later. They also did not do what I asked at Calypso, but tried to deny that they completely missed the mark. Thankfully, I was able to pull up the picture we agreed upon together. I saw the guilt on the owner's face once I pulled up the picture again, that she had confidently said she understood and could do from the start. But she only backtracked long after trying to tell me it was what I asked for and acting surprised that I was not okay with a much, much different color and style of balayage. S, the owner, and her assistant, A, also socialized with eachother in front of me much of the time, which was odd, as most stylists talk to their clients instead of ignoring them. Still, I was fine to read a magazine while they chatted. And they did bring tea and chocolate. While the owner was impolite or rude at times, her assistant was overall warm until I politely asked for them to correct their mistake. After pointing out that what they did was not (even close to) what I wanted that they agreed to, the owner's assistant also tried to tell me I was "done" and ready to go while my hair was still very wet. I was not okay with spending over $400 on fried hair that I did not want-- and I drew the line at being told I should leave after all of this with a wet head on my way to the car, especially when I had been polite and professional in response to the owner's behavior. So, I pointed out that my hair was still (very) wet and asked for it to be dried. She did dry it after I pointed this out and asked for it to be dried. This was all so odd. I spent hundreds of dollars (on a very negative experience) and they tried to send me out with wet hair as well? Still, my biggest complaint is that my hair is permanently fried because they did not know what they were doing and did not own up to this and eventually "corrected" their mistake by grossly overprocessing my hair. This has never happened at another Aveda salon in my experience. I wanted to try a place that is closer to my work and regret this choice. I do not know how I am supposed to repair my fried hair and will have to cut much of it.

Had a great experience at this salon. Atmosphere is welcoming and luxurious. Mallory was awesome to work with, she knew exactly what I wanted and was very pleasant to talk to while she worked. I left with my hair feeling much healthier and curlier than it's ever been! Will definitely be returning.
