A life-changing experience with Dr. Rodriguez and CAPILEA! After contemplating a hair transplant for over a decade, I finally decided to take the plunge in mid-2024. Originally, I was looking into clinics in South Korea or Turkey, but after some research, I discovered that Tijuana had world-class options as well. From our very first meeting, Dr. Rodriguez impressed me. His English is flawless—better than mine, honestly—and he took the time to answer every question with patience, transparency, and professionalism. The CAPILEA clinic itself is beautiful—modern, upscale, and located in a high-end medical tower just minutes from the border. Communication, handled mostly through WhatsApp, was excellent—Wendy and Dr. Rodriguez kept me updated, answered all my questions, and made everything feel simple. On the day of surgery, I drove across the border, valet parked, and was warmly welcomed. The staff was attentive and thoughtful from start to finish. They made sure I was hydrated, fed (lunch was ordered for me), and comfortable throughout the 7-hour procedure. They even have streaming services so you can relax and watch TV during surgery. Honestly, the only discomfort was the anesthesia shots at the beginning—after that, I felt nothing. Even post-op pain was nonexistent. I had about 2,300 follicles transplanted to address my naturally large forehead—not receding hair, just genetics. For the first two weeks, I followed the aftercare routine exactly: gentle baths, baby shampoo, and using the soft brush they provided. The scabbing phase was the toughest—mainly because I couldn’t wear a hat and looked a little off—but that passed quickly. By week two, the scabs were gone. By week five, most of the transplanted hairs had shed (totally normal), and by month three, I began seeing solid regrowth.
