While I no longer work at Northwestern Medicine, my main office remains part of their network. In 2023, I moved to a dedicated hair restoration space, allowing us to focus entirely on delivering the best possible care. However, I regularly collaborate with my colleagues at Northwestern Medicine, especially for my female clients who see our dermatology partners that communicate with us over Northwestern Medicine’s medical record, which still connects us. More than a decade ago, I was young and eager to push the boundaries of what was known, and I used hospital supplies to work on cadavers to create a new surgical technique in efforts to restore an eyebrow on a young girl who had been bit by a dog. The legal case was formally dismissed and sealed—a rare outcome in which the state fully abandons the charges and deletes any record of it. That experience shaped me. I keep the newspaper article framed in my office, not to hide from it, but because it reminds me of the responsibility, I have to continue learning, growing, and improving. Interestingly, I just read it again myself two days ago after teaching a group of 3 medical professionals how design and restore an eyebrow at the International Hair Institute. I took immense pride in that moment. As for pricing, cutting-edge technology, continuous research, and an unbelievably talented team (including me performing every consult and procedure and me answering every call/text 24/7) is costly—not expensive, but costly. However, at my practice, one this is absolutely true about our pricing: price should never be a barrier to care. We have resources to help, including my volunteered time, to ensure that all patients have an opportunity to improve their lives in this way if that’s what they want. We take pride in serving our patients with honesty and care, so it’s unfortunate when questionable reviews take time away from what truly matters—helping real people restore their confidence.
