Don't be fooled by the good reviews!!! UPDATE 1/25/24 After six weeks of no response or attempts to rectify the damage they caused, Robin, the office manager called today. In short, she threw the front desk receptionist under the bus who simply relayed the message about the additional cost, and told us that the receptionist gave us "misinformation". And to add insult to injury, the poor receptionist has been terminated (wrongfully IMO)! In addition, instead of offering a partial refund, Robin asked if we would like to have additional services done. Why on EARTH would we allow them to perform additional services, when they have made NO attempts to ensure satisfaction after they botched the FIRST service?? We had moved on after SIX WEEKS, and are already working with another provider to correct the damage to my partner's head and are content with their services. But, this call was unsettling and revealed just how terrible these people ARE. I REPEAT, PLEASE STEER CLEAR OF THESE SHADY PEOPLE! ORIGINAL POST December 11, 2023 TL;DR: Please believe the other one and two star reviews. They are telling the truth about these guys, regardless of the condescending "sorry you felt that way" responses from their office. They botched my partner's SMP. Then tried to charge him $400 extra per session to fix it on TOP of the $5000+ we'd already spent. Please learn from our experience and go somewhere else. FULL REVIEW: My partner and I wanted to like this place. Dr. Yates and his team started out friendly and personable and we felt good about the decision. However, the technician that performed the service tried to freehand my partner's hairline and spent several sessions trying to make it even. Plus some whole sections were darker than others. Still, we were optimistic and figured it was a process and that in the end it would be perfect. Then, the cancelations started. The technician had to keep rescheduling the sessions for various reasons. And the next available appointment was always at least a month out. Eventually, we tired of this and decided to make an appointment with the other technician - which, initially, nobody even told us existed! We also learned through the second technician's process, that there is a tool to align the hairline properly, which the 1st technician didn't bother to use. The 2nd tech tried to fix my partner's concerns and in the process, left a black spot on his head. So on top of having one side lighter than the other, he had a jacked up hairline, AND a black spot of ink the size of a dime on one side of his head. He tried showing these mistakes to the technician, but Dr. Yates came in and scoffed at him and kept saying he didn't see anything wrong with it. Despite that, the technician was going to try to fix it, but was told by the office manager to charge $400 more per session to fix it. This was on top of $5000+ we were already charged! Frustrated with this insulting treatment, my partner left there and went to another SMP specialist, who immediately saw all the mistakes and agreed to fix them. We are still making payments (which, by the way, costs TWICE what everyone else charges) for Dr. Yates' team's expensive botched job, while paying additional money for someone else to fix it. This provider does not care about quality service nor customer satisfaction. All they care about is money. Learn from our experience. Save yourself some money and skip the frustration. DO NOT go to these guys. Take your time and find one of the smaller, less popular providers who will take their time and do the job right, for half the cost. That's what we ultimately ended up doing. Please believe the other one and two star reviews. They are telling the truth about these guys, regardless of the condescending "sorry you felt that way" responses from their office. I’ve been going here since 2019. This is an awesome place, highly recommended. Every time I visit, I’m left with an elevated experience! All types of services, a great staff with a family vibe. Dr. Yates is a wonderful doctor and really cool guy. I’ve brought friends here for lip filler, Botox, and other aesthetic procedures and they were very satisfied. I’ve been here for hair restoration procedures like micro pigmentation and FUE grafts. It has enhanced my image dramatically, and still looks very natural. Dr. Yates knows what he’s doing, and he is very comfortable to work with. If you’re seeking aesthetic work in the Midwest, I most highly recommend this place.
