Rachel is such a beautiful soul! I walked in feeling pretty down about losing my hair. When I walked in I immediately felt welcomed. The shop is gorgeous! Rachel took the time to listen to what I was looking for. The vibes were so peaceful. Rachel was respectful, I felt comfortable taking off my head covering for the first time in public. She wore a mask because I am immunocompromised. There were many options and I felt cared for. I fell in love with three wigs and my heart and soul were lifted by the time I left. Rachel is so knowledgeable, she helped me find several options. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for helping me gain my confidence 🫶🏽

To anyone LGBTQ+, know that Rachel is extraordinarily welcoming. She's patient and will guide you through wig options until you find what works best for you. She never judges and she always helps a person feel comfortable with their appearance, even at very vulnerable moments. She teaches everything you need to know for taking care of wigs as well. I'm running out of superlatives, but my wife and I can't recommend her enough to anyone and we are so grateful to have met her.

I stopped in, in March of 2022, with a friend in need, visiting from out of town. The store was a last minute find after she casually mentioned she wished she’d found a wig store while in the states. I can’t begin to express how positive the experience was from start to finish! She was treated with such kindness and the wig she purchased still serves her every day, even in the tropical climate she resides. She’ll be in DC again in March 2025 for a conference and another visit to “that amazing wig store” is at the top of her list. So relieved to still be able to offer such a niche treasure to her. MEA CULPA !!!! I totally was out of line with my initial negative response to the Frederick Wig company. I misunderstood the circumstances of my obligation to pay because I had to cancel with very little notice and didn't allow Rachel to respond to my notification. As soon as she could she contacted me and explained that IN FACT she would give me a refund and that my interpretation of the written committment (on the website)) was premature in assuming no refund. Rachel was caring and explained that her situation made it difficult to respond quickly.(as I expected!!) SO again I do not have any negative comments about this company SO ignore PLEASE my original and incorrect evaluation

I can’t express enough how truly kind, patient, welcoming, and wonderful Rachel is. Her store is warm and inviting and beautiful, and I instantly felt comfortable in the space and with her. Hair loss can be so emotional and vulnerable, and Rachel is amazing at opening up the world of possibilities! She has so many options at a variety of price points and I’ve learned so much from her in the couple of appointments I’ve had so far. I originally emailed her a while back because I’m still so new to it all (and nervous) and she took so much time to respond and answer my questions that I instantly felt like I was in great hands. If you’re experiencing hair loss or just looking for amazing and realistic wig and topper options I highly recommend making an appointment! It is 100% worth it and I honestly can’t wait to be on the hunt for another style in the future so I can go back! I’m so thrilled to have a place like this in my hometown!
