I went to see carole raby for a trichologist consultation. she doesn’t speak a lick of english which is fine, so I had my boyfriend come with me to translate. when we got there, she asked me to sit down to wait and I politely declined, and she said in a more firm tone to have a seat. so I went to sit. I already thought that was strange since I thought I was having my scalp evaluated in a private setting but this was in the middle of her hair salon. but in any case, I obliged and waited for the appointment. she was around 20 minutes late, but I was willing to wait since it was a free consultation. I didn’t mind that. what really bothered me was the fact that when she asked me to take off my coat and I didn’t want to, she asked my boyfriend in french “what’s your girlfriends problem? she seems nervous” and said it in a VERY rude way. SO unprofessional. the reason I didn’t want to take off my coat was because it wasn’t in the way of her evaluating my scalp at all. I don’t see why she immediately went to ask such a rude question just because a client wants to keep her coat on to remain more comfortable in an uncomfortable setting? she had zero customer service. the whole time, she talked so fast that my boyfriend couldn’t even translate what she was saying. it’s like she didn’t care if I actually understood what she was saying or not. I have no idea what her problem was or why she didn’t care to have me as a client but even when I asked her more info on the treatment that costed $180 she told my bf “I can’t tell her my secret ingredients”. like no, I’m asking what the name of the treatment/service is, not the ingredients. anyways she was wildly unprofessional. maybe she does know what she’s talking about and maybe she does a good job but I won’t be spending $180 there, I’d rather go bald thank you.
