Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUE is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual follicular units (1-4 hairs) are extracted directly from the donor area using micro punches (0.7-1.0mm). The follicles are then implanted into recipient sites in balding areas. This method leaves tiny, barely visible scars and allows for faster healing compared to strip harvesting methods.

You can't go wrong with Chondra. She corrected a botched dye job and hair cut and style from another stylist done six days earlier. She is very skilled and knowlegeable. Believe me what she had to rectify requires more space than I can elaborate. She does it all.

I've wasted thousands of dollars over the years on wigs that never looked or fit well. I have a large size head and can't fit most off the shelf wigs, so have been at the mercy of high priced wig salons. I've tried salons in NYC, here in Charlotte and in California with no success. Instead of trying to sell me another costly custom wig, Chondra took three of my old wigs and restyled them so that they look great! Knew how to thin here, and trim there until it fit my face perfectly. She also showed me how to put on the wig so that it stays put all day without bobbie pins. BTW, I am a caucasian women with very straight, thin hair who wears wigs similar to my own hair. Chondra, the owner of Lux Wigs, can cut and style any type of hair, from super curly and thick to straight and thin. She did all of this for a very low price. It's amazing that the best hair stylist/wig store I've found is also the cheapest! Isn't that how life goes?

Be CAREFUL doing business here. The owner was paid twice for the same service. $1,200 from me upfront and $1,200 from my insurance. To date she has refused to reimburse us our $1,200. My self and my insurance company have tried calling her and she refuses to answer. The sad thing about this is the wig was for my wife who lost her hair due to chemo treatments while battling Breast cancer. Any business or person who deliberately steals from cancer patients should not be in business in my opinion. We are considering taking legal action and contacting the news station who also did an article on her services in the past.

I want to take a moment to address the situation with transparency and care. First and foremost, I understand your frustration and concern, and I truly sympathize with what your wife is going through. That said, I need to respectfully clarify a few important points. The payment I received was not a double payment. I have a separate account dedicated solely to insurance-related transactions. The deposit you are referring to was allocated for a little girl’s hair unit, not your wife’s. As I stated before, I was originally willing to handle the insurance claim on your behalf, but you insisted on filing it yourself, citing your employment with the insurance company. Unfortunately, the claim was not processed correctly and the funds were misdirected due to that error — not mine. Once the insurance company became involved and advised me to refrain from direct communication with you, I followed their professional guidance. I was also informed not to go back and forth with clients on claims, as it creates confusion and can be seen as unprofessional. I agreed and abided by their instructions. Regarding your wife’s unit — while the insurance only approved $1,200, that amount would not have covered the wig she really wanted, in the length and color she desired. Despite this, I went out of my way to make sure she got what she needed and felt beautiful. I bent multiple policies for your wife’s sake — policies in place to protect both me and my business. The color was right the first time, re did as she requested and darker the roots, even though it matched the original request.Knowing you signed the wig order file ( and agreed to the first order/ color ) I fixed it, free of charge — including materials, products, and labor , still knowing the first order was what she requested.. but once she tried it on , she agreed with the darker color ( AS I REQUESTED during the consultation)but she didn’t see my vision until after I made the unit and colored the unit as she asked me too ~out of respect for her journey through chemotherapy. The color correction turned out too brassy, ( so I ordered a brand-new 22” wig at my own expense to make it right. I didn’t complain, I didn’t charge more, and I didn’t blame anyone — I did it because I care. I also reworked a separate wig you brought from another country — one that was severely mishandled in its construction and color. I fully restructured and recolored that unit as well, charging only a minimal fee out of courtesy, despite the substantial time and resources it required. In total, your wife received two custom units from me, though I put in the work and cost for three. Your frustrations stem from the insurance mishandling, but I have communicated consistently with the insurance adjuster and followed their legal advice, which included limiting direct communication with you. The funds you were waiting on were eventually disbursed by the insurance company directly to you, not me. I was told you were reimbursed the $1200 weeks ago. I want to be clear: I do not scam, I do not steal, and I am deeply committed to my clients. I have over 43 five-star reviews because I treat each customer with respect, empathy, and professionalism. I’ve donated wigs, helped children in need, and supported clients who were denied claims or struggling financially. I apologize for your inconvenience and the delays you experienced, but please understand that I acted in good faith — often going beyond what was required. I hope you see the heart, effort, and intention behind everything I did to make sure your wife felt loved, seen, and beautiful during such a hard time. Yes please be very careful if you want a company that will GO OUT THERE WAY , to offer the best care and services for the client during a hair loss experience no matter the cost or the time that was spent.. WE WILL PROVIDE A PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE, to the community that appreciates our SERVICES! Sincerely, Owner, Lux Glamorous Wigs & Co.
