Mermaid beauty company has the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime for any reason. Karen McLoughlin first contacted me needing an appointment because of an emergency. Her former stylist ghosted her. She need someone to fix her hair asap. I am a very busy stylist and could not sever her. Couple of weeks later, i follow-up with her via text to see if the found someone to help her. She said she found someone. Around 6 months later she showed up on my booking system. I reached out to her not remembering I had spoken to her before. I typically like to do a consultation for extensions before someone books. She informed me she has I-tips. I primarily do Invisable bead Extensions installation. She told me she was interested in switching. So I agree to service her I-tips and consult her about wefts. At her First appointment, I observed her ill fitted i-tips. She informed me the girl she has do her hair was probably not licensed and did it at home. The hair that was installed was in all the wrong spots long next to short with no rime or reason. I spent 3 hours reinstall the correctly. I charged her $300. She left me a wonderful review. I instructed said client in initial consultation that I use a several hair vendor with multiple price points to fit everyone's budget. I sent a link of a specific company that I approve to use on client. She said she was going to purchased the hair herself. When she showed up to her appointment and brings the hair it clearly was not from my approved vendor. I agree to install which was my mistake because i should have stuck with my policy. The hair was very cheep in quality, thin and frizzy. She even commented on how it did look good. I proceeded with coloring and high lighting her hair (cost $115) then installing 2 rows of Invisable bead Extensions method. ($300). I am a transparency stylist you can see my work on Instagram or Facebook with full photos of installation and grow outs. After about 3 weeks she call me about issues. She came in and i told her that the hair is causing the issue. I reinstall one of the rows for free. A Client has know idea what it looks like as the work is done behide the head. However I take photos. I have Photos of the work. Section size and amount of beads installed. She reached out to me again 2 weeks later with issues. I told her it was the hair. She informed me she purchased new hair. I asked if she purchased from my approved vendor thus time she said NO. I am very aware of all the available hair vendor. FSHINE comes from Amazon. Unfortunately sometimes i have to protect the integrity of the client’s hair and protect my business at whatever cost it will be. ( a bad review) after several back and forth text messages. I politely had decided to refuse service. As i feel she was not willing to use the appropriate product needed to insure the safety and success of the Extensions install.
