Monique’s shop was 5 star. Monique handled me herself along with her Assitant Tamica. They are very courteous, professional, and efficient! It was the fastest appointment and best styling I’ve ever had from start to finish. What sealed the deal was the family enviornment and upbeat personality of both the staff and clients. I intend for this email to reach the owner. I had high hopes as a first time customer who had read about your salon and saw the great greenback feedback and so I booked myself an appointment for a cut and blow dry for October 30th. First I get a call stating my appointment needs to be switched to today, November the 6th for the same time of 10:30 am. I get to my appointment on time and am barely greeted before there is confusion to why I’m there at 10:30 etc etc. I sore show one of the women my rescheduled appointment which isn’t MY issue that there isn’t enough staff or that the person who rescheduled did it incorrectly. I spent money to get there and was told to come back at 1pm. This was shocking to me as though my time doesn’t matter. I take another Uber back and arrive a few minutes before 1pm and not acknowledged at all and the stylist (Israel) I believe looks at me, doesn’t let me know if and when she will be with me. Yet I notice there are 7 other women with their hair out getting ready to be done. After 20 minutes I realized I was not going to be informed of anything and I probably wasn’t going to be seen and walked out and spent money one more time. I found this to be one of the most unprofessional and inconsiderate experiences in my life in the service industry. I have worked in the sales and beauty industry my entire life and this was shocking to me . I wasn’t apologized to at the very least, given some reasonable explanation and when I came back I was completely ignored. I want to bring this to your attention because I was really excited to visit this salon as I am a woman of color and have textured hair and was looking for a new salon to go to. I really hope to hear back soon.
