Newport Hair Loss Center is an amazing organization in Newport Beach, San Diego and Century City! While helping a friend who has cancer find a beautiful human hair wig I had the opportunity to communicate with and finally meet the incredible people who created a special place for those individuals struggling with hair loss. Their sensitivity, compassion and care are evident from the moment you walk in. Their wigs are unlike any I've ever seen or thought existed. My friend (and me) are so incredibly grateful. Her customized wig is gorgeous, natural and exactly what she wanted. We had a very short time frame before her son's wedding and we were so fortunate that her timeline could be realized. Many thanks to Nadine, Andrew, Ashley and the entire staff!!

I had high hopes that Newport Hairloss Center was going to be the answer to my problem. Unfortunately it was far from that. I was a cancer patient that underwent a complicated surgical procedure. The surgery left a huge scar on the back of my head due to a tumor removal in that location. After years of living with the scar and with no hair growth in that area, I figured it was time to find a solution to cover up the scar. I found this company and reached out to them. I was booked for a consultation at the La Jolla office. I met with the hairstylist and she assured me that she can help! I was excited. She drew a design of the scar to make the molding. I paid about $900 upfront and was told it would be better to meet at the main Newport Beach location. She also gave the option to get a whole hair piece since my hair thinned on the top of my head from chemotherapy. I was thankful for this option. About two weeks later I was told the hair piece was ready. So my family and I made a trip from San Diego. My wife and I were excited in hopes of a solution to finally cover up this prominent scar. Unfortunately when we arrived the hairstylist was just not ready for us. We had a seat in a room and waited more than an hour before she could start helping us. When she did finally attend to us, she was constantly helping another client back and forth and unable to really focus on the hair style my wife and I really wanted. I told her maybe it’s best to have the full hair piece. So eventually she prepared the hairpiece and began to style it on my head. She didn’t really explain well what she was going to do. The difficult part was I relied heavily on my wife’s opinion, but because it took so long for her to get to us and with us having an 8 month year old, my wife had to attend to our baby and couldn’t really observe. I just went with what the hairstylist recommended. When it was all said it done, the haircut look with the hairpiece was just so discouraging. The hairstylist kept saying how much better it looked, but I was just unsure of that. To describe it, the hairpiece that covered the top of my head looked overly thick, and she left a long strip of hair to cover the back of my head where the scar was. It all just looked unnatural! I was just so bummed out when I got to take a real good look at it. The actual styling of my hair piece process just seemed rushed. To our hairstylist credit, she had a co worker there that day that just wasn’t expierenced so she was forced to work with both me and another client at the same time. Unfortunately that affected the results and my experience. It made us feel sad and frustrated. The whole thing cost us about $1800. That hair piece just sits on my bathroom counter unused. It hurt wasting that much money. It hurt worse to hear confidently that I could be helped, and yet they were unable to deliver that expectation.
