My first experience with Jae was phenomenal. She explained everything in detail from the beginning to the end. I have been to several stylist and have never received this type of care before. I can be a bit picky and was quite anxious to see my end result. My hair looks amazing and the smile on my face shows it. I will definitely be returning. Jae is a professional hair artist . I've been experiencing hair loss for the past several years due to medical issues and then experienced massive hair loss after invasive surgery. I started looking into wigs and was overwhelmed as I had no prior knowledge of wearings wigs and what to truly look for. I searched for wig stylists and came across The Chic Studio and am so happy I did! During my first consultation, Jae was empathetic, asked detailed questions about what I was looking for and simply explained the ins and outs of wigs as well as her process and what my client experience would be like upon placing an order. Jae also went above and beyond to walk me through how to put on, style, and wear my new wig. She did a fantastic job of bringing my hair style vision to life and really paid attention to what I wanted. I'm specific in my hair color preference as I prefer to dye my hair a blue black to best compliment by skin tone. She nailed every detail. I've been wearing my new wig for a few months now and am really comfortable with it. I look like my old self! As someone of Indian descent - hair is a big part of identify and the hair loss really took a toll on my self confidence. Jae gave that back to me. She helped me make progress in loving myself again. I get so many compliments when I wear my wig. Not a single person is able to tell I'm wearing a wig. I'm already thinking about a second wig and experimenting with styles and lengths. If you're looking for a wig GO SEE JAE. It's money well spent and invested. She the best of the best. Her quality speaks for itself.

My Experience with Jae and The Chic Studio I scheduled a consultation with Jae with picture in tow. I found Jae to be professional with a caring attitude. I then scheduled a sew-in and was excited because I am experiencing hair loss; the service was provided a week ago. It was a pleasant experience. Even though the hair style given did not resemble the picture, which I showed her for the second time (length and curl pattern). I decided to work with the installation anyway. By the time I got home, the hair had puffed out. Within a few days, I let Jae know that the hair was not curling as explained. I was told to use mousse, water and oil to make the hair curl. My scalp then became irritated, I think, due to the lack of a cap or net during the installation or the type of hair. I asked that the hair be removed 4 days later. Jae was very accommodating, and the hair was removed at no charge. Final result, this 71-year-old grandmother left the shop on the fourth day teary, with a bag of hair that I have no use for, my hair all over my head, an irritated scalp, no recourse and $515 dollars less in my bank account. As I was leaving, Jae made the statement, that “I was now free.” Thanks for responding - bottom line, I have the experience, you have the money, and no recourse was offered. I wish you well.
Thank you for all of your feedback Zenobia. It’s unfortunate the style and hair texture did not meet your expectations. However, during your consultation you approved the curl pattern that was used during your install process. During the follow up visit, the hair was filled with product and you expressed using Vaseline because your scalp was itchy and irritated. I proceeded to access the hair and your scalp. including asking if you had any allergies to braiding hair in the past. Furthermore, I asked for your “ ideal solution” which you expressed would be to have the hair removed. I did that and at no charge. I didn’t visually see any redness, marks in your scalp from the braids being too tight, or any inflammation. I did notice you scratching your head. Upon leaving the salon suite, I did not see that you were teary eyed otherwise I would have further processed your emotions with you. My sentiments about you being free, was in reference to your hair because you said your head felt better now that the style was removed.
