Update: After ignoring me for months on end, Elise called the very next morning after this review was posted which goes to show that the ghosting was deliberate and reeks of unprofessionalism. I was told I'd receive a refund for the biopsy and was also pressured to take down this review. Weeks later, I am still waiting for said refund. I stand by my original review and find it pretty telling that communication was only forthcoming when I publicly documented their failings. I was told it was impacting the clinic; if simply stating the truth about the clinic impacts them negatively, then perhaps they ought to do better. I will continue to wait for the refund which should've been forthcoming from the start ---' It is hard to find the words to describe how terrible my experience with the Wimpole clinic has been. They are completely devoid of empathy, lack integrity, do not have a robust complaints procedure, mock patients, and quote incorrect prices for procedures (and then you only find out the true cost when it's time to pay). As with the other negative reviews here, I can already anticipate the lies and lack of accountability which will inevitably arrive in their response to this, but I have nothing to gain by writing this. I would strongly advise people to go elsewhere for their care. I attended the clinic for a consultation at the end of 2024 and saw Marie, who was confident about my diagnosis and my suitability for a transplant. At one point she invited a doctor in to look at my hair. He was extremely unprofessional and told me, without any kind of proof, that I definitely (note the word "definitely") had scarring alopecia, that my hair would never grow back, and that I needed to just accept it. I was stunned and broke down in tears. After he left, Marie said that she regretted bringing him in as he had a history of doing the same thing to other patients. The fact that this was a known problem and hadn't been dealt with is in and of itself appalling but the fact that, if it had been dealt with previously, I could've been spared needless distress was deeply upsetting to me. I left the clinic in tears and felt as though what I'd been told must've been true, as he didn't say he suspected scarring alopecia; he didn't say maybe or possibly. He said I definitely had it, and that was devastating. Because of what had been said about the scarring and because Marie disagreed with him, I felt pressured into doing a scalp biopsy at the clinic and it transpires I do not have scarring alopecia. I asked to raise a complaint about my experience and the person I first spoke to didn't know their own complaints procedure which is a huge red flag. When I was finally put in contact with someone via email, I had to constantly keep chasing for replies as they kept ignoring me and clearly didn't want to deal with the issue. They also ignored phone calls from me and only answered when I had a relative call from a different number, which implies they had either blocked my number or had noted down not to answer it, which is beyond unprofessional. Some other causes of concern that I noticed with this clinic: I was quoted the wrong price for the scalp biopsy and only found out the real cost when it was time to pay. This is another red flag so I would advise patients to ask multiple times about the costs to avoid finding out too late. Both of the times I attended the clinic in person, receptionists openly mocked and complained about patients at the front desk, despite the fact that myself and other patients were present in the waiting area and could hear it all. In summary I think this clinic is deeply flawed and would strongly urge people to look elsewhere for help.

I was almost brought to tears this morning and not as one might imagine from the pain of a needle dancing around the least protected areas of my head but from something far more wondrous and joyous. Kindness and empathy. Two words rarely heard from customers describing their experiences but when it comes to how I was treated from the highly professional staff at the Wimpole Clinic this morning, kindness and empathy are exactly the right words. So whist the astonishing results they achieve at the clinic are oft documented and beyond question what is less recognised is the exemplary manner in which every patient is treated as an individual over a means to a pay cheque. From both a professional and personal level, I cannot recommend the Wimpole Clinic highly enough

I had my hair transplant (1900 grafts) with Wimpole Clinic in November 2024, and it has been 6 months since the procedure. I am very pleased with the results so far, and I hope the density will continue to increase and reach its full potential in 12 months' time. I want to thank my advisor, Simone, who has been very patient throughout the consultation and aftercare. He messaged me almost every day post-surgery for 2 weeks. Then he regularly checked up on me and answered any of my questions within the same day. Also, thank Dr Malkani and his team for the fantastic work. I had visited six clinics before deciding to go with Wimpole, and I think I made the right choice. If you are considering a hair transplant in London, I would recommend Wimpole Clinic. I will upload another photo 12 months after the surgery so everyone can compare and see the full result.

I would give them 0 stars if I could, I’ve contacted them via email and they ignored it. Also they haven’t even bothered contacting me for a follow up. All they do is take your money and leave you to get on with it after. Disgusted with these guys

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at the Wimpole Hair Transplant Clinic. From start to finish, the care and professionalism I received were absolutely outstanding.
