Jerry Cooley

Dr. Cooley is a board certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon who has been performing hair transplantation since 1994.  He is director of the Carolina Dermatology Hair Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Dr. Cooley has served as President of the ISHRS and on its Board of Governors; he won the ISHRS's Platinum Follicle Award in 2008 for his scientific contributions to the field.  He has also served as co-editor of the Hair Transplant Forum International journal. He is a diplomate  of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.   Dr. Cooley graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency of the University of Maryland in Baltimore where he served as chief resident. He has performed research on hair follicle "cloning" . He has published scientific articles in numerous medical journals including Dermatologic Surgery, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Clinics, and the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.  Dr. Cooley can be contacted on the internet at www.Haircenter.com.
